Spring update!

Wow, is it March already?

I’m excited to be heading back to campus this weekend for the March meeting of the Board of Trustees.

As always, we will be holding a Class Trustees Open Forum on Thursday. Open Forums are a great way for students to share ideas with, and to get to know the board. I encourage you to attend – even if you don’t have a particular agenda. If you can’t make the meeting, or would just like to get in touch, feel free to send me an email.

Browsing the events calendar today, I noticed another Trustee-related event: a lecture by Karen Florini titled “Climate Change Policy, Politics, and Personnel: A View From Washington.” Karen, a expert lawyer at the Environmental Defense Fund, is a Trustee and member of the class of 1979. Check it out if you have time.

Apologies for the lack of blog posts; I’ve been focusing first on getting myself up to speed on Board procedures and policies, in addition to some behind-the-scenes work. I’ll have much more to write about in the coming months – please check back.¬†And as always, please get in touch with any concerns or ideas.

Finally, in case you missed it, take a look at Robert Lemle’s update from the December board meeting.

Hope to see you on Thursday!
